Features in Innersafe for Media Player
Innersafe provides a very easy-to-use interface that works within the context of your media player:
- Windows Media Player or
- Media Player Classic
Encrypted videos and music files are not decrypted for other applications. With Innersafe, only Windows Media Player and Media Player Classic are able to decrypt protected media files.
Innersafe for Media Player supports the following types of files:
- .mp3
- .avi
- .mpg/.mpeg
- .m1v
- .mp2
- .mpa
- .mpe
- .mpv
Protected files remain encrypted on disk even during active use by your media player. With Innersafe, the media files do not need to be decrypted to disk.
If desired, Innersafe can also require a logon after the protected application has been minimized. This allows you to maintain privacy without exiting the application and losing your place.
The design and strength of the encryption standards used by Innersafe include those authorized by the National Security Agency (NSA) in June 2003 to protect classified information including SECRET and TOP SECRET levels.
Properly implemented cryptographic standards including AES, PBKDF2, and more. Innersafe products use unmodified source code of a library module validated by NIST and CSE for FIPS 140-2 level 1. However, Innersafe product binaries have not been submitted for testing because they must be used with third-party applications.
